Ahmed Kamal: "Aleryh Aled'eab"
Ahmed Kamāl (Arabic أحمد كمال), is also known as Ahmed Kamal Bey and is Egypt’s first Egyptologist and pioneer in his own country. Though Kamal is of Turkish origin, he is completely dedicated to his adopted country and the preservation of its antiquities.
He is curator at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and a staff member of the Supreme Council of Antiquities and one of the few Egyptologists that is respected by Professor Radcliffe Emerson. He was jointly responsible for the Egyptian collections’ classification
and significantly involved in the museum's removal from both Boulag to Giza and Giza to the Tahrir Square at Cairo's city center.

He took part in several excavations at Dayr al-Barsha, Gabal at-Tayr, Gamhud, the Nile Valley, Dara and other locations to numerous to count. In Dara he discovered the only known attestation of the Pharaoh Khui . . . and something mysterious took place that changed his life - and what his life's goal will be protecting his adopted country!
