Almost finished with the test figure for the Hesse-Darmstadt Gross und Erbprinz Regiment. The figure is painted as a member of the 4th Company. Still fooling around with the camera; pictures aren't great but I think you can see enough detail. In my next post some history and painting guide.
The field packs come separately which makes it easier to paint the straps and collars on the figures. Note that some packs have the short swords, those are for the elite companies of grenadiers, chasseurs, etc. I won't be using them for this unit.
Most young boys (and some adventurous girls) play with Toy Soldiers; some never stop! I'm proud to say that I am one that never has stopped. Toy Soldiers, painting the figures, history and miniature wargaming is what this site is all about. May the God who gives encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
