I saw this Gripping Beast model on eBay and decided to paint it for fun. Nicely sculpted, no flash and no visible mold lines. It is a high quality figure.
Most young boys (and some adventurous girls) play with Toy Soldiers; some never stop! I'm proud to say that I am one that never has stopped. Toy Soldiers, painting the figures, history and miniature wargaming is what this site is all about. May the God who gives encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Warlord Games Metal Faschirmjagers
I have now painted Black Tree and the plastic Warlord Games Faschirmjagers. I have not tried Artizan Designs yet but so far my favorite figures are the metal sculpts from Warlord Games. Here is their Faschirmjager squad blister pack:

More Sikhs
If it is not apparent by now, I love the range of figures for the 2nd Afghan War from Artizan Designs. Here is my second unit of Sikhs; this time with Sikh officers.

Devils in Skirts
Khasi of Khalabar: They think
they're so powerful with their... st-starched uniforms and their...
stiff upper-lips, and their dirty big flags hanging out! They think they
OWN THE PLACE!!
Bungdit Din: [flatly] They do.
One can never have enough of the "Devils in Skirts!"
Figures from Artizan Designs from their 2nd Afghan War range.
