Space Marine / Epic 40K: The Imperial Guard
The Imperial Guard's motto: If we did not take 90% casualties we weren't trying hard enough. No infantry in this force, just tanks and artillery and all kinds of armored vehicles. If I need infantry I would use the Space Marines.
I'm a retired Colonel of Infantry (Regulars by God!) and Military Historian who likes to play with toy soldiers. I've been married to the love of my life since 1986, I have 5 honorable sons (my geeks in training), 4 daughters-in-law, al2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 1 dog and a gazillion miniatures.

Space Marine / Epic 40K Orks!
What would a space opera or hard sci-fi story be without space orks? Okay - don't answer that. Anyway here are the Orks:
The boyz!
An impressive Ork Gargant stumbles across the battle field. I love the belly gun.
Cannons, Warlords and dune buggies with laser guns - what more could you ask for?
If I remember correctly these were mostly heavy weapons and the Goff tribe.
I have now idea what these war wagons were but they sure look cool.
I was particularly proud of the paint job I did on the missiles.
Were these my pirate cannons?

Space Marine / Epic 40K: Space Wolves
This was the first Space Marine force I built before I did the Dark Angels.

Space Marine/ Epic 40K: The Eldar
The Eldar were the best alien race in the Warhammer 40K Universe in my opinion until the Tau showed up. Cool vehicles and weapons.

Space Marine / 40K Epic Blast from the Past - My Dark Angels Space Marine Force
I was reorganizing files on my expansion drive and found these old 40K Epic/Space Marine pictures. Back in the mid 1990's I gamed with a great group of men from the Fort Monroe, VA area (I'm looking at you Mark Edgren). That group of men provided some of the greatest gaming experiences of my life and we got hooked on Space Marine. Here are some of the pictures of my forces. The figures are 6 mm scale which is not really that hard to paint - just go for a unit look not individual figures. The other cool thing about science fiction game is just to let you imagination go wild.
